About The Event

What do we DO with the truth? The DUALITY of knowing historical truth and keeping it hidden has been a ritualistic practice in how so much of American History is told. Historian and Author Dr. Alberto Martinez writes about that erased truth in his latest book, “The Eyes of Texas: Blackface to Whitewash.” A question for attendees: Once we know the TRUTH, should we insist that it be amplified & taught?
